When I was a kid I wasn’t that pretty,
People didn’t stop to grab my cheeks
You know what I mean, I wasn’t even that witty
I was kinda out of it....

I was a little butter ball
didn’t know anything at all, wondering
who’s gonna’ catch me if I fall.

So I went out to where it’s crystal clear,
where I can hear the music of the spheres,
and it pulled me up to stand tall and smarten up.

When I was a young girl I was lost,
tangled up trying to find my own way...
Grabbed my bag went across the ocean,
desperate for answers.

I wasn’t acting out, had a steamboat in my veins
and what can I say
they were happy when I left...

So I went out to where it’s crystal clear,
where I can hear the music of the spheres,
and then I knew the world is not your friend
til you learn to love yourself.

And years have flown by
I’ve been, working so hard
Still going through the steps

And I would really like to have it all figured out my friends
But for now I think I’ll just go on ahead.

And it’s true sometimes the pressure is high
But you know in every moment in time there’s a melody that can make things shine.

So I’ll go out to where it’s crystal clear
