I never left you, without a doubt

I never sweared, I never promised
I always took advantage to never held back but...
...I always look at you with great respect,
tender love and some remorse, there's so much I wish to hide,
so much I got locked inside, and it can't be
that freely said that sad story I got to tell,
a tale of misfortune and disbelief...that you've already read
(all this time I've been waiting seeing your smile
on every face and nothing ever really compared
to you no nothing really hangs me up like you)

I could have held on to you, I could have tried
To take back my words my unfaithful lies
I could have made believe try t feed your one and every need
But the disguise is far too big can't you see it doesn't fit
The dreams I carry can't fit in the world you describe
My one and only eye sees only what it cares to see
Is it best to live on lies
or would you rather be burned by truth
Does it change if truth is lies and all
you've believed in never was (but...)
...I can only see you when I look around
as all reminds me of desperate ties, as you can see,
they make you laugh, and that brings a smile,
it is time for me to share, for me to give out
or give away whatever it is I have...

There's so much I could have accomplished,
so many things I wanted to do
I had a great time just thinking about it
I know that ain't much but it helped me hold on
I guess I just got scared of comparing what
I had in mind and what reality brings
Now I'm ready, ready to look at it all and just say

Your expectations are yours alone,
I don't have to live up to any of this"
